Hi Molly - Yes - I think it is the axle from a Reliant Rebel van from the 1970's. There aren't many images to compare it to but it seems the nearest match I have found.

I saw on your site for a Gear. As a machinist, I would like to use blender to make designs using gears and other mechanical applications.

I am using Blender 2.74 and noticed that your Gear was used for an earlier version of Blender and don't seem to be able to use your file. Can you help me?

Hi, Blender now has a gear add-on to generate gear models easily. Texturing models using Cycles has changed from my old tutorial and I am not up to speed with the changes. If you ask on blenderartists.org you should be able to get the help you need.
Best regards
Rob

Only just started your tutorials, but they have already taught me skills to improve my modelling and taught me how to manipulate things with an accuracy I previously desired.

Looking forward to completing more of your tutorials

I've been a Blender Dabbler for years but have always been frustrated by not being able to work out how to do CAD-accurate modelling. Now, I'm starting to learn thanks to your tutorials.
